Since 1986, Malibu’s Surf Shop has been providing customers, friends, and family
with all of your surfing needs. Originally located in Potomac, MD, Malibu’s
current boardwalk location in Ocean City offers everything that you would need
in the surfing world. Though small in size, we pride ourselves in our surfboard
selection, clothing, and accessories. All of our surfboards are hand shaped with
no overseas factory production, making each board a unique work of art as well
as a great addition to any quiver.
During the summer, Malibu’s offers private surfing lessons, stand-up paddleboard tours and surfboard rentals to people of all ages and
skill levels. If you are comfortable in the water and want to learn, we’ll take
care of you! We have been offering lessons since 1993 and continue to schedule
them in the mornings and afternoons all summer. In addition, we have started
offering stand-up paddleboard tours so check out our lessons page for all the
details!

We stop into Malibu’s every time we are in OC! Our favorite store on the board walk. It gives a deep sense of family, nostalgia, appreciation for surf and quality clothes. Couldn’t recommend more. The family that runs this store is the sweetest!

The moment you walk into this establishment you know that you’re dealing with people who know what they’re doing and who are in it for more than just selling you stuff… the staff greeted us with genuine friendliness and human interest and you could tell immediately that you’re dealing with inherently good people, people with integrity… thank you for taking the time to have a real conversation with me and my son despite your busy store… this is what life is all about, little moments of real human connection… thank you gentlemen…

I used to love coming here every year but recently with the prices rising, it’s been annoying. I bought this t shirt for just under 50 dollars in August 25th 2025. It’s November now and I noticed the print is discoloring and rubbing off now after being worn and washed about 5-6 times. This was one of the cheapest shirts I could find here. It’s still a decent enough store but the quality is not worth the price as much anymore
